Private house in the village of Shchelykovo. Russia

This summer home is located on the grounds of a Russian village in central Russia. 

The old wooden log cabin, elevated above ground level on piles, and surrounded on four sides by terraces, giving homeowners who like to spend time outdoors a wide choice of where to locate themselves depending on the time of day and weather conditions.   

The old roof of the house, which was raised and widened from its former position, is made of a light-conducting material. This solution allowed to provide sunlight to both the terraces and the space of the second floor, where the master bedroom is located.
